Hotel El Cazar - Armacao dos Buzios

The location is excellent! Beautiful views of the ocean and close to downtown Buzios. The Hotel is very well built in really nice setting. Great place for honeymooners! Buzios is a very nice relaxed setting with very friendly people.

Langauge barrier was a little tough at times but Owner was very helpful.

Location is perfect with nice views over the bay and the relaxed town within short walking distance. Pool is clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Breakfast is good, but the same everyday.

Rooms are very very dark. Spa is not inviting (shut off and dark as well). Some of the hotel staff are trying, but the owners are a little rude and not hospitable. Nobody speaks a word Englisch, Portuegese spoken staff only.

The hotel was great the people most frendly and very helpful. Every morning my wife and I had breakfast on the pourch. The staff would put all the plates,mats and utincils on the table for us.

The porch roof where we had breakfast every day was in poor condition. It had been damaged-repaired with plastic that didn´t match the old matial. They should have used canvas or wood for the roof. This is a minor detail but when one is staying at the best hotel in Buzios one expects perfection everything was perfect,

The hotel is in a great position, close to seaside and the center, good breakfast

Personnel was not so supportive as I hoped, the balcony has not protection: very dangerous for children too many stairs, an elevator would be beneficial

The hotel is situated just on the edge of Buzios which was perfect! Front line with sea views but away from the main high street so it was quiet. The bars/restaurants were only 5 minutes walk along the seafront which were all very nice! 5-10 minutes walk in the other directions and there were two fabulous beaches with snack bars/cafes etc. Really friendly staff, small very comfortable hotel - had a feeling of staying in someones house!

Some might say the rooms are a bit 'dated' especially the bathrooms. However we thought more 'shabby chic' which only added to the charm of the place. If your looking for a 5* Ultra modern gleaming chain hotel , this is probably not for you. However if you want comfort and charm in a great location, you won't go far wrong here!

Left alone, ideal for couples who want peace and quiet. We have already stayed 5 times and will definitely be returning, one of the best in Buzios

El Cazar is geographically very well located, 10 min walk from the famous Rua das Pedras and close to the beach peer to get the boats to go to the different beaches. The service is average, simple breakfast and no dinner service which you would expect in a hotel of this category.

The service is not in line with the hotel category and price.

The Location is fantastic: right in the middle of Buzios harbor, close to many restaurants and clubs. Great View above everything and close to boat access for tours. The hotel staff were really great: attentive and helpful. The owner lives on premises and is very friendly and helpful. Cute animals: friendly pug dog and tortoises, too!

We stayed during New Years week, and it was a little expensive compared to other weeks of the year. The beds were a little hard for some of us: very firm mattresses, but Kingsize beds.

Great location, very friendly staff, wonderful buffet breakfast included.

Wonderful location within a short walk of all the nice restaurants and bars of Buzios - but not too close to hear the noise from the revellers at night. Wonderful spot

Staff were not helpful at all. This hotel is over priced massively. I'd rather just forget the whole experience, including the nasty shock we had at check- out when they stung us for an extra 10% tax which Booked.net did not include, unlike their competitors
